The surprising part is the floor
If the futuristic clip you saw was Virtuix Omni One, KAT Walk C2 Core is the Amazon alternative worth understanding first. It is a stationary slidemill: special shoes glide across a concave platform while sensors translate the motion into supported VR games.
A safety frame keeps the user near the center. Low-friction shoes slide underfoot, so walking and running feel different from normal steps and require practice.
The checked Core bundle includes Nexus and one selected-size pair of shoes, but not a headset. PCVR needs a capable Windows PC; standalone Quest setup still needs Windows configuration, developer mode, networking, and a supported game.
The platform stays still. You learn a controlled sliding step inside the frame.
The verified Core link is size 9.5 and the Plus link is size 9. Other sizes can have different stock, prices, and ASINs.
